BELLINI THEATRE It is very close to the National Museum, the Conservatory of Saint Peter in Majella and from the Academy of Fine Arts. It was constructed as a lyric theatre on a plan that was inspired to the “Comique” Work of Paris and inaugurated during November 1879 by the Carmen opera that met a huge success. There were periods of crisis and periods of rebirth. In 1962 the theatre gave hospitality to the show "Masaniello" with Nino Taranto. After there were decades of abandonment until a group of culture and theatre men began to work for It. the Theatre came back to life from the end of the ‘80. From 19 November 1988 in fact, with "L’opera da tre soldi" by Tato Russo, the theatre started a series of seasons of extraordinary importance for the cultural life of the city of Naples. |
