Later on,when Naples joined to the Reign of  Italy, the greater part of the convents, that were indeed in excessive number, passed to the property of the State that changed them as pubblic buildings nearly always as schools. Some churches partially were abandoned and sconsacrated, among them there were even very important artistical churches.
