DANTE STATION

Piazza Dante station has opened on the 27 March 2002 with a inauguration ceremony presided by the president of the Republic Campi. The overhanging square, redesigned by architect Gae Aulenti, has a very poor style: a wide pedestrian area, the white statue of Dante,some park bench and some plant. Inside, some works characterize  the spaces of transit of the travellers. Inside the station there are five floors and the walls are covered by crystals and iron. We can admire the shoes and the trains made by Jannis Kounellis: thirteen panels in which man and woman shoes and models of locomotives are embed under pieces of railroads. Many other masterpieces are in the station.
