VANVITELLI STATION

Piazza Vanvitelli station,on the hill of Vomero, represents a nevralgic point of the transport system of Naples: the trade vocation of the area, the elevated demographic concentration, the tourist importance of the area of San Martino make this station the more busy of the Linea1. Opened on March 1993 together with the first part of the line, the immense structure has been subordinate, at the beginnig of 2005, to one radical operation of restyling, that has seen the introduction of art works, panels, mosaics and installations, transforming it in the seventh station of the art of the metropolitan of Naples. Inside this station we can admire works of Mario Merz, Vettor Pisani and Gregorio Bocca.
